Establishing business relationships sometime can be very hard. A lot of times we meet people and interact with people but never ask them what type of work do they do or think about how this person can benefit you in making your business better. You have to know what your future plans and goals are and have some form of idea on how to achieve them. Think about your circle of friends and network with them to find out who, within that circle, can help your business or contribute to your goals. If your friends don't seem to be able to help see if they know some people to introduce you to or give suggestions on how to meet the right people. Once your business is up and running and you are looking to build your business with solid, long-term business relationships, read A.Kirk's article on 4 Stages of Establishing a Business Relationship.  After you have established business relationships then read Keeping Long Term Business Relationships that will guide you in keeping the relationships that you now have acquired.
